Q. I currently deal directly with the Ecclesiastical Insurance Company. What are the benefits of employing a broker? A. Price and Time. There are a range of services the broker can perform that cannot be carried out by dealing with the insurer directly. A broker can offer a choice of insurance quotations with the effect that the best market price can be obtained. In a recent property review we were able to demonstrate the market price was significantly lower with the impact that EIG lowered their renewal quotation. Q. The insurers often engage their own contractors on property repairs when we would like to use local tradesmen. As a broker we can liaise with your property departments and manage the claim using your contractors to carry out the works on your behalf. We currently work with a several loss adjusters and can keep moving claims process forward with regular claims updates to you and your team.
Q. Can we get a taste of the broking service before renewal. A. Cornerstone would recommend a six month period to demonstrate our capability. We would look to arrange a meeting to discuss the insurance programme and explain in more detail how we would work as your broker. When you are satisfied we can agree the transfer date and you can see first hand how we would work together.
